Welcome

One Night at the Old Mill

Zoya and Kabir are getting married in a cotton mill that has not spun a thread since 1982. Brick walls, steel beams, a skylight forty feet up — and for one night, a bar, a dance floor and everyone we love. Dress up. Wear comfortable shoes. We are going late.

How we got here

Our Story

Nov 2019 · Kamala Mills

The Gig

A sweaty basement gig, a band neither of us liked, and the only two people at the bar arguing about why. We left before the encore and walked to Worli Sea Face.

2020 – 2025

The Rooftops

Every birthday on a different rooftop, every one with a worse view than the last. We have strong opinions about Mumbai bars. Ask us at the wedding.

The Question

Back at the same basement, now a cocktail bar. He asked the bartender to play our song, then forgot to ask the question. She asked it for him.
